Hi, I’m Sim, and I joined Perth Pride FC at the end of 2022. I came along to training for something to do over Christmas when my other hobbies – mainly netball and choir – were closed for the holidays. I hadn’t played soccer since school (last millennium!) and my old boots literally fell apart at the first training session… but I survived the experience and enjoyed the fun mix of friendly people.

My choir rehearsals, combined with netball-related injuries, mean I can’t often make it to training, and I’ve probably been to more social events than training sessions so you’re as likely to see me in strappy heels as football boots!

Heya, I’m Stef ! I joined Perth Pride FC at the beginning of 2022 with a New Year’s resolution to get involved in a LGBTQ+ sporting club. I had played soccer during my school years and liked the idea of getting back on the pitch and brushing up on my soccer skills. I have been a part of the Perth Pride committee for two years and love helping create a supportive community for those wanting to join the group.

The club has had some great experiences over the years including exhibition matches, participating in Pride events in Perth, getting involved with the Women’s World Cup in 2023, and participating in Pride Football Australia tournaments.
