Hey there, I’m Phill.
I’ve been playing football for most of my life and always loved the game and the positive environment it creates. After coming out I joined the Melbourne Rovers inclusive football team and loved the environment. So, when moving to Perth and there wasn’t a team, it only felt right to get the ball rolling with Perth Pride FC with so many incredible people building what we have today.
It’s been the time of my life playing in Brisbane at the Pride Football Australia Cup, in Sydney at the International Gay Lesbian Football Association tournament and coming down to training on Tuesday with so many amazing people.
I love this club and everyone involved in it and can’t wait to welcome more to see it grow.

Hi, I’m Sim, and I joined Perth Pride FC at the end of 2022. I came along to training for something to do over Christmas when my other hobbies – mainly netball and choir – were closed for the holidays. I hadn’t played soccer since school (last millennium!) and my old boots literally fell apart at the first training session… but I survived the experience and enjoyed the fun mix of friendly people.
My choir rehearsals, combined with netball-related injuries, mean I can’t often make it to training, and I’ve probably been to more social events than training sessions so you’re as likely to see me in strappy heels as football boots!

Heya, I’m Stef ! I joined Perth Pride FC at the beginning of 2022 with a New Year’s resolution to get involved in a LGBTQ+ sporting club. I had played soccer during my school years and liked the idea of getting back on the pitch and brushing up on my soccer skills. I have been a part of the Perth Pride committee for two years and love helping create a supportive community for those wanting to join the group.
The club has had some great experiences over the years including exhibition matches, participating in Pride events in Perth, getting involved with the Women’s World Cup in 2023, and participating in Pride Football Australia tournaments.
